Luke Bencie is a 7-figure entrepreneur, TEDx and recognized international keynote speaker, global adventurer, and popular author of seven books, including Among Enemies: Counter-Espionage for Business Travelers, The Clandestine Consultant: Kings, Sheiks, Warlords, and Dictators, and The CARVER Mindset: How to Think Like a Spy.

In 2010, he launched his consulting firm, Security Management International, which has become a global brand that specializes in the CIA’s CARVER Methodology. As such, Luke has been a consultant to the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Defense, Fortune 500 companies, as well as foreign governments. Luke has worked in over 100 countries and has trained thousands of police, intelligence and military officers in the U.S. and abroad in the fields of counterterrorism, counterintelligence and strategic intelligence.

Prior to establishing SMI, Luke was a senior security consultant for Raytheon Company in the Intelligence and Information Systems Division. He previously served as a representative from the CIA’s Office of Special Activities to the U.S. Department of State's Foreign Emergency Support Team. In this capacity, he was responsible for immediately responding to terrorist attacks carried out against U.S. targets overseas; subsequently serving in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and other global hotspots. He completed his graduate degrees in National Security Studies from The George Washington University and the American Military University, and completed his undergraduate degree in Communications from Michigan State University.
